Julia McPhee enters her third season
at the helm of the Wellesley Lacrosse program. In her first
season with the Blue, McPhee coached the team to its
most impressive finish in three years.
McPhee comes to Wellesley from Goucher College in Baltimore,
Maryland where she served as the Head Lacrosse Coach and
the coordinator for the Goucher College Student Athlete
Mentor (SAM) Program. Prior to Goucher College, Bergofsky
was a graduate assistant for Lacrosse and Field Hockey
at Trinity College where she received her Master of Arts
in Public Policy in 2004.
A 2002 graduate of Middlebury College, McPhee brings
exceptional experience and success as a collegiate lacrosse
and field hockey student-athlete. She was a two-time National
All-American, Midfield Player of the Year, First Team Regional
All-American and First Team All-NESCAC for Lacrosse. McPhee
was the 2002 Honda Broderick Award recipient, which named
her the Division III National Athlete of the Year. She
was also named the 2002 ECAC Player of the Year and NCAA
Tournament MVP. McPhee helped the Middlebury Lacrosse
Team to three National Championships and was a three-time
NCAA All-Tournament team recipient.
