A Yoga instructor at Wellesley, Liz earned her Iyengar Yoga instructor certification, Introductory
Level II, from the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the
United States in November 1995. In 1998, she studied directly with Yogacharya Sri BKS Iyengar in Pune,
India. Liz has continued her training in the Iyengar Yoga in recent years with on-going study under Patricia Walden, Senior Iyengar yoga
instructor, and many instructors of other methods, including
Rod Stryker, David Life and Sharon Gannon, Ana Forrest, Georg
Feuerstein (yoga philosophy), and Thich Nat Hanh, Vietnamese
Buddhist meditation teacher and peace maker.
Liz's specialties include working with
limiting physical conditions such as scoliosis, breast cancer
and lung conditions, yoga therapeutics, teaching methodology,
technique, anatomy and physiology, and the study of yoga philosophy
and ethics. As a member of the MassYoga Network, she also teaches workshops throughout the greater Boston area. Her goal is to help people find health for
their bodies, clarity for their minds, and peace for their
hearts through the practice and everyday application of yoga.
Liz enjoys swimming and walking on beach.
