Megan Valentine

Megan joins the Wellesley staff after earning her Masters of Education in Sport Administration. As the Assistant Director for Athletics Special Events and Club Sports, she oversees the development and facilitation of the club sports partnership with the dean of students as well as assists in the daily operations of Friends of Wellesley College Athletics (FOWCA) and the PERA student advisory group. Megan will also serve as an assistant coach with the softball team.

Prior to coming to Wellesley, Megan was the Compliance and Event Management Coordinator and assistant to the Athletic Director at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois.  She also worked as a graduate assistant at Bowling Green, doing research for and teaching courses in kinesiology and sports and gender.  Her master's thesis at Bowling Green was entitled "Through Her Eyes: Exploring the High School Sports Experiences of Female Athletes."

Megan played on the varsity soccer, softball and basketball teams at Medaille, captaining soccer and softball. She also served three years as the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.  In 2004, Megan was one of 16 national recipients of the NCAA Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship.
