1. Bring the boat alongside the dock
Step into the middle of the boat
Do not step onto the deck space near the bow
Stay low and keep your weight balanced when moving around
2. Put down the centerboard
3. Load your crew and equipment
4. Attach the tiller/rudder assembly to the stern, making sure that
the tiller passes under the mainsheet traveler
5. Take the mainsheet off the boom, loosen and uncoil it
Tie a stopper or figure 8 knot in the end
6. take the halyard off the cleat on the mast
Lower the boom and untie the other end of the halyard
Do not let either end hang free (halyards can climb the mast quickly)
7. Use a stunsail tack bend to tie the halyard to the head of the
sail
8. Follow along the leach of the sail from the head to the clew
and attach the clew to the outhaul.
9. Feed the luff of the sail into the track along the mast and pull
the sail up using the halyard.
10. Once the sail is all the way up, make the halyard fast to the
cleat on the side of the mast.
Make sure that you lock off the halyard on the cleat
Make up the halyard and hang it on the cleat
11. Adjust the tension on the luff of the sail with the downha
