Wellesley Drops OT Thriller To Babson

WELLESLEY, MA - The Wellesley College soccer team took the short trip to cross-town rival Babson Tuesday afternoon and dropped a 3-2 decision in overtime to the host Beavers.

Wellesley is now 0-2-1 this season in overtime games. Babson scored the decisive goal off a direct kick just outside the box in the second minute of overtime.

Junior Lisa Andruszkiewicz tallied Wellesley's first goal, which tied the game at 1-1, off an assist from first-year Jessica Van Houten. First-year Sara Daniels tied the game at 2-2 off an assist from junior Bridget Jones. Sophomore goalkeeper Elizabeth Senecal made nine saves in 92 minutes of action.

Wellesley (5-3-1 overall, 2-2-1 NEWMAC) hosts WPI Saturday at 1 p.m.
