Smith Drops Wellesley In Overtime

NORTHAMPTON, MA - Smith scored in the fifth minute of the overtime period, and the Wellesley College dropped soccer team dropped its first NEWMAC game of the season, 2-1, to the Pioneers Saturday afternoon.

Junior Lani Lee got Wellesley on the board in the second half with an unassisted goal. Smith, however, would tie the game in regulation before winning in overtime.

Wellesley (3-2 overall, 0-1 NEWMAC) had 10 shots and goal and seven corners.

Sophomore goalkeeper Elizabeth Senecal made four saves.
