Wellelsey Soccer Tops Coast Guard in First NEWMAC Contest
NEW LONDON, CONN.--Junior Jennifer Lau scored her team leading
fourth goal of the season, the only goal of the game, in the first
half leading Wellesley to a 1-0 win over Coast Guard in the New
England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC)
season opener for both teams.
Lau drove a shot over Coast Guard goal keeper Torie Lusardi with
17:51 left in the first half and the Blue (4-2, 1-0) held on for
the win.

25 minutes for Coast Guard (3-4, 0-1)
First-year Katie Martore
made 10 saves and recorded her third shutout of the season for
