SOFTBALL POSTS WINNING MARK IN FLORIDA
The Blue Go 6-2 In First Week of Inaugural Season
FT. MYERS, FL. – The Wellesley
Softball team kicked off their regular season games this week
in Florida, finishing with a 6-2 record in five days of competition.
Wellesley opened by sweeping their first four games versus Colby,
Mt. St. Mary, Wisconsin-Whitewater and Lawrence. The Blue then
had a two-run loss to Heidelberg College and came back to beat
both Plymouth State and Salve Regina the following day.
Wellesley
wrapped up their week of play with a close
4-2 loss to Bowdoin to move their overall record to 6-2 on the
season. Plymouth, Salve Regina and Colby also brought Wellesley
three regional wins on the week.
