Wellesley Edged By Hamilton
Hilton Head, South Carolina. – Despite singles
wins by Kirsi Hakkinen (Cincinatti, Ohio), Esther Handy (Olympia,
Wash.) and Mary Chang (Winchester, Mass.) the Wellesley College
tennis team narrowly fell to Hamilton College 5-4 in its second
and final match of its spring break trip.
Wellesley fell behind dropping its number one and two doubles matches
before Chang and Erika Fitzhugh (Little Rock, Ark.) defeated Hamiltons
Callen Sterling and Meghan Rose 8-4 at number three doubles.
Wellesley tennis returns to action Saturday April 1 at home against
Brandies. Match time is 1 p.m.
