BABSON WINS SIXTH STRAIGHT, DEFEATS WELLESLEY 7-2

Babson Park, Mass. –  The Babson College tennis team swept doubles and won four out of six singles matches en route to its sixth straight victory with a 7-2 win over Wellesley in a New England’s and Men’s Athletic Conference tennis match, Tuesday at Babson.
 
Babson swept the doubles points for the sixth consecutive match and improves to 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the NEWMAC while Wellesley drops its third straight match and evens out at 3-3 overall and 3-3 in the NEWMAC.
 
Wellesley’s Hana Freymiller (Anchorage, Alaska) played well in the loss for Wellesley, defeating Babson’s no. 1 Shannon McCarthy 7-5, 6-0.  Freymiller won the first set in come-from-behind fashion defeating McCarthy after trailing 5-2 early in the match.
