2008-09 Recap: The Wellesley basketball team ended the season with a 10-12 overall record and a 4-9 mark in conference play. Wellesley advanced to the semifinals of the NEWMAC Playoffs as the sixth seed before falling to third-seeded Springfield. The Blue went 2-0 at the Seven Sisters Basketball Classic in November with Julia Thomas being named to the All-Tournament Team.  Other season highlights included a thrilling come-from-behind win over Rhode Island College and an explosive 98-56 victory over conference-rival MIT. Senior Jessica Duff left her mark on the program, becoming just the eighth player in school history to score 1,000 or more career points and ended her career 5th on the all-time scoring list.  Duff and Thomas were both selected to the NEWBA All-Senior team to close out the year.
