Shanley Named NEWMAC Runner of the Week
WELLESLEY, MA – Wellesley College senior cross country runner Kerry Shanley (Marshfield, MA) was named the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Runner of the Week for the period ending September 30, 2007.
Running at the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College, Shanley led Wellesley to a first place finish in a field of 22 teams. Her time of 19:01 gave her an impressive fourth-place out of 229 competitors at the event.
This season, Shanley has also finished sixth at the Smith Invitational and 13th at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational.
Wellesley will next compete at the New England Championships on October 6th in Franklin Park.
