Wellesley Athletes Compete at ECAC Track Championships
Egan Earns Two All-ECAC Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Wellesley College athletes Clare Egan and Madeline Harms competed at the ECAC Track
Championships this past weeked at Springfield College.
Egan picked up medals in both the 800-meter race and the 1,500-meter race as Wellesley tied for 32nd out of 51 schools that scored in the event.
In the 800-meter race, Egan broke her previous school record by running a 2:17.63. She improved her previous best by just under a second, to take fifth overall. In the 1,500-meters, she ran a 4:41.57 to take sixth place. Her two performances landed her two All-ECAC honors.
Running the 5000-meters in the rain, Harms finished 12th with a time of 18:35.08, despite standing water on the track.
The ECAC event marked the end of the spring track season for Wellesley runners.
