Johnson Named First-Team All-Star

WELLESLEY, MA – Wellesley College fencer Emily Johnson (Pittstown, N.J) was recently honored as a Northeast Conference first-team All-Star.

The sophomore earned the honor after a season in which she finished with a 16-5 overall record in the conference and also qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament.  Johnson won two bouts at the NCAA event and finished her season ranked 28th in the region in epee.

Teams in the Northeast Fencing Conference include Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis University, Brown University, Dartmouth College, the University of Massachusetts, the University of New Hampshire, Smith College, Tufts University, and Wellesley College.

Wellesley fencing ended the season with a 10-7 overall record.
