2008-09 Recap: Swimming and Diving ended their season with a 6th place finish at the NEWMAC conference championships and a 5-5 overall record. Wellesley senior Kate Sorenson earned NEWMAC Diver of the Year honors after winning both the 1-meter and the 3-meter diving events.  Earlier in the year, the team pulled out a huge victory at the Seven Sisters Championship to win their 12th straight title, placing Dana Dutton, Kate Sorenson, Emilie Mitten, Laura Weir and Stephanie Welch on the all tournament team. At the NCAA National Championships, senior diver Kate Sorenson (Bolton, MA) was named an All-American in both the 1-meter and the 3-meter diving events. She took fourth place overall on the 3-meter board on Wednesday and then followed that performance with another fourth-place finish on the 1-meter board.
