WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Wellesley College Swimming and Diving team fell to New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival MIT on Wednesday night in Cambridge, MA. The Engineers outlasted Wellesley 179-118.

The Blue were led by senior Jenny Wu (Livingston, NJ) who took top honors in two out of the four events that Wellesley won.  In the 100-yard breaststroke, Wu finished in 1:10.49, five seconds faster than the second-place finisher.  In the 200-breast, Wu's time of 2:30.52 was 11 seconds faster than the nearest competitor.

Rounding out the first-place finishes for the Blue was the 200-yard freestyle relay team of first-years Cathy Poon (McLean, VA) and Dana Dutton (Anacortes, WA), and juniors Carolyn O'Hara (Bedford, NH) and Savanna Johnson (Bloomington, IN). The foursome recorded a time of 1:41.57 en route to Wellesley's fourth event win.
