Siddique/Shen Named NEWMAC Doubles Team of the Week
BABSON PARK, Mass. - Wellesley College tennis players Mohona Siddique (Chevy Chase, MD) and Jacqueline Shen (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) were awared NEWMAC Doubles Team of the Week for the period ending September 20, 2009.
Siddique, a senior, and Shen, a junior, made an impressive run at this weekend's ITA Regional Championship, advancing to the final four in the doubles bracket. The Blue duo defeated teams from Vassar, Tufts and Bowdoin before falling in the round of four to Grace Baljon and Taylor French of defending national champion, Williams.
Wellesley's #1 doubles team, Siddique and Shen are 4-1 on the season.
Blue tennis returns to dual meet action on Saturday, September 26th hosting a 1:00pm NEWMAC match against Clark University.
