WELLESLEY MATCH NOTES
Wellesley advances to the NCAA tournament by way of a 3-1 win over MIT in the NEWMAC title match, which featured strong performances from Jessica Duff (16 kills, three blocks), Murielle Dawdy (13 kills, 18 digs), Alice Cummings (12 kills, 25 digs), Emily Peters (32 digs), and Lauren Rasmussen (eight kills, five blocks, five aces). . . . In the first round Wellesley will face Endicott College, a team the Blue defeated 3-0 at the Wellesley Invitational in October. . . . This year is Wellesley's seventh NCAA appearance, the first since 2002. The Blue advanced to the quarterfinals five consecutive years (1997-2001), including Final Four appearances in 1998 and 2001.
