Cell Biology with Laboratory

Introduction to eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell structure, chemistry
and function. Topics include: cell metabolism, genetics, cellular interactions
and mechanisms of growth and differentiation. Laboratories focus on
experimental approaches to these topics. Either 110 or 111 may be taken
first. Students with a strong background in biology and chemistry should
consider 110X.
Prerequisite: Fulfillment of the basic skills component of the Quantitative
Reasoning requirement.
