My interests in wildlife biology and ecology led me to work for Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. From there I went into research in Plant Virology studying apple mosaic virus using tissue culture techniques. I now teach the labs in Organismal Biology (111), Cell Biology (110), Environmental Horticulture (108), Ecology (201). Within the Environmental Studies Program I teach ES 101 and have co-taught ES 300. While interested in many aspects of biology, my primary focus is in ecology and plant science. Over the past few years, I have been involved with multiple conservation efforts and I've worked with students on projects such as vernal pool certification and metal uptake in aquatic plants.
