Introduction to the Biology Department
Choosing
a First Course/Placement Exams
All students considering a major in Biology should take BISC 110 and
BISC 111. You may take them in any order as they are both offered
in the fall and spring semesters. AP credit does not replace
any course offered in the Department of Biological Sciences, nor
does it count toward a major in Biological Sciences, Biological Chemistry,
or Neuroscience. AP credit does, however, count toward graduation.
All biology courses require the fulfillment of
the
Quantitative Reasoning basic skills requirement as a prerequisite.
