First Method:

  1. Search Engine: Infoseek Ultra
  2. Search phrase: "Jobs, Steven"
  3. Site found: The Cyber World of Mr. Steven P. Jobs
  4. Comments: this was a really easy search yet don't give alot of relevant sites.

Second Method:

  1. Search Engine: Yahoo
  2. Search phrase: "Jobs, Steven"
  3. Sites found: Steven P. Jobs , Steven Jobs by Leslie Clatterbuck, Steven Paul Jobs by Beckie Craft
  4. Comments: using Yahoo is alot easier than Infoseek and it give alot more sites to look into than the previous machine.

Third Method:

  1. Search Engine: Excite
  2. Search phrase: "Jobs, Steven"
  3. Site Found: Forbes 400 Richest People in America
  4. Comments: very useless finding and there is a lack of sites found regarding the topic I'm looking for.

Fourth Method:

  1. Search Engine: Lycos
  2. Search phrase: "Jobs, Steven"
  3. Site Found: Reportage: Steven Jobs , Steven Jobs sucht in Nextstep den Schlüssel zum Next-Erfol
  4. Comments: the worst of the four engines I used previously. The two sites the engine found above are inaccessible. The first site is not found and the second site is in German and it also requires password to access the page.

Conclusion:

For this specific topic I found that the best engine to use is Yahoo or Alta Vista since the two engines work interchangeably together. However, from my past experience I found Infoseek to be the easiest engine to use. I guess, it really varies from topic to topic which one engine is the most efficient and informational to the users.
