Application
Deadline: Tuesday, September 9, 2008, noon
Thank
you for applying to participate in the 2008 Tanner Conference.
We are delighted that you would like to share your thoughts,
reflections, and knowledge from your off-campus experience
with the College community. We look forward to reading your
application.
-The
Tanner Conference Committee
Application Procedure:
- You
are allowed to participate in only one Tanner
presentation.
- You
may apply as an individual or in groups with a six person maximum.*
- Submit one
application form per presentation. Therefore, if applying
either as an individual or as a group, there should only be
one application.
- You
must secure an on-campus faculty or staff advisor. Discuss your
abstract and presentation with your advisor. Arts-related projects
must have an Art/Art History advisor.
- Have
your advisor review your presentation title and abstract (maximum
150 words) before submission.
*Grouping:
- Individual
and small group applicants (1-3 people) are highly likely to
be paired with other presenters.
- Large group
applicants (4-6 people) are less likely to be joined by additional
presenters.
- All small
and large group applicants should have a thematic connection
linking their collaboration. Individual and small group applicants
will be grouped by the committee based on similar characteristics
in their experiences and insights.
- The order
in which you list the applicants on the application is the order
in which you will be presenting at the Tanner Conference if accepted.
Therefore, the primary contact person, the person listed first
on the application, should not only be responsible for collecting
everyone's information but also the person who's opening the
presentation.

out our FAQ page for applicants for
