BSCP: Biomedical Science Careers Program New England Resource Directory. Biomedical Science Careers Programs, 2001. The program was established to "...identify, inform, support and provide mentoring for academically outstanding students, particularly African-American, Hispanic and Native Americans." The directory provides information on mentoring and internship programs at New England institutions, hospitals, biomedical and biotechnology organizations.

Careers in Healthcare Management. Cynthia Carter Haddock et al. Health Administration Press, 2002. The authors present a history of health administration, educational requirements, and job market information. The book profiles people in a variety of positions in health administration.

Global Health Directory: U.S.-Based Organizations Working in International Health. National Council for International Health, 2001. Directory lists government and quasi-government organizations, consulting firms, and other groups involved in international health issues. Entries include address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address, number of employees, budget, contact person, mission statement, services offered and countries served. Indices include country, area of service, and an alphabetical list of personnel.

Health-Care Careers for the 21st Century. Dr. Saul Wischnitzer and Edith Wischnitzer. JIST Works, Inc., 2000. The authors present descriptions of over 80 health care careers with information on training needed, career paths, salaries, and licensing. Other chapters include advice on choosing the right career and how to conduct a job search in healthcare.

Health Professions Career and Education Directory. American Medical Assn., 2005. Directory lists education programs for 45 allied health professions. Entries for each program include address, phone, class size, degree/certificate awarded, length of program, tuition and fees, and a contact person.

Hospital Blue Book. Billian Publishing Inc., 2005 Directory of U.S. hospitals, by state and then by community. Listings include address, phone, number of employees, services offered, names of key personnel, and other statistical information. Also includes a listing of HMOs, PPOs, and medical schools.

Money for Graduate Studies in the Biological and Health Sciences. Gail Ann Schlachter and R. David Weber. Reference Service Press, 2001. Financial aid directory lists opportunities for study or research in the biological sciences. Entries include name of scholarship, name and address of sponsoring organization, e-mail and Web site contacts, purpose of the award, eligibility, amount(s), and application requirements. The reader may access by funding purpose, sponsor, residence, subject area, or deadline date.

Nursing Programs. Peterson's Guides, 2003. Directory of baccalaureate and graduate nursing programs in the U.S. and Canada. Contains advice on selecting a program, application for international students, and financial aid. School profiles give address, phone, student and faculty statistics, programs offered, and application requirements and procedures.

Plunkett's Biotech & Genetics Industry Almanac. Jack W. Plunkett. Plunkett Research Ltd., 2001. Directory lists and describes companies involved in the various components of the biotechnology industry: genomics, biopharmaceuticals, genetic engineering, etc. Entries include a list of products or services, specialties, brand names, salary and financial information, address and phone number. Also included are chapters on trends in the industry, scientific definitions, statistical information, and careers and their paths.

Veterinary Medical Schools Admission Requirements. Assn. of American Veterinary Medical Colleges, 2005. Lists U.S. veterinary schools by state. Entries include address, application deadline and fees, residence requirements and statistics, prerequisites for admission, GPA and examination requirements, summary of application procedure, and tuition.
