Undergraduate Fellowships Requiring Campus Committee Review

Wellesley College Information for the Rockefeller Brothers Fund

Wellesley College has been invited to nominate members of the junior class for the Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellowship for Aspiring Teachers of Color. Designed to encourage students of color to teach in public elementary or secondary schools, these awards support a summer project related to teaching and offer grants to assist with tuition for masters degree programs.

Applicants for a Rockefeller Fellowship must go through the Wellesley College screening process. This entails the following:
    • CWS Cover sheet
    • Rockefeller Brothers Fund Fellowship Application Form
    • Mentor Application Form
    • Personal Statement
    • Two letters of recommendation
    • Grade report or unofficial copy of a transcript (not the Web version)

Campus interviews are tentatively scheduled for mid-November. A Wellesley College faculty committee will interview all candidates and nominate up to three students whose final applications will be sent to the Rockefeller Brothers Fund by the deadline.

Questions during the application process should be addressed to Ellie Perkins.
