Student Recruiting Program Glossary of Terms

• Preselect Interview: An interview in which a student or alumna meets the interview requirements and submits her resume to the employer. The employer reviews the resume and then chooses the candidate if they wish to interview her.
• Preselects: Candidates who the employer has chosen to interview.
• Alternates: The employer may choose a list of supplemental candidates who may sign up for an interview if there are remaining time slots.


• Open Interview: An interview in which a student who meets the interview requirements can sign up for an interview time slot and submit her resume to the employer.



• Resume Drop: The employer posts a job description on InterviewTRAK and collects resumes from InterviewTRAK from interested candidates. These companies will not come on campus; they will invite students directly to their headquarters.
