    Thinking It Through

Thorough preparation for applying to graduate school in any field includes the following:
    • examining your career interests,
    • meeting with faculty members to review your academic strengths, and
    • familiarizing yourself with the graduate school information available in academic departments and through the CWS.

The timeline and documents in this section describe the application process. While the ideal timeline allows for exploration and preparation throughout your undergraduate years, be assured that these steps may begin as late as senior year or even following graduation. In fact, in recent years, an average of 15% of Wellesley alumnae apply to graduate school programs as seniors, although approximately 80% of recent alumnae enroll within ten years of their graduation.

Visit the CWS for a drop-in session or make a counseling appointment to discuss plans soon.

Alumnae can arrange individual counseling by phone, email, or in-person, by calling the CWS at 781.283.2352.
