Undergraduate Fellowships Requiring Campus Committee Review

Wellesley College Information for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship

Harry S. Truman Scholarship: The screening process that leads to nomination by Wellesley College includes submitting the following material to the Center for Work and Service (CWS) by the campus deadline:

Checklist:
  • Cover sheet
  • Truman Scholarship Application Form
  • Policy Proposal
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Grade report or unofficial copy of all transcripts (not the Web version)

We strongly suggest that you consult your faculty advisor for assistance in developing realistic plans for graduate study and in writing your policy proposal. You should also discuss your application with Ellie Perkins well in advance of the campus deadline.

Campus interviews are usually scheduled in late October. A Wellesley College faculty committee will interview all candidates and nominate students on behalf of the College.

Questions during the application process should be addressed to Ellie Perkins.

Additional information and the application forms are available at [www.truman.gov].
