Community Service Travel Grants
Purpose:
Community Service Travel Grants provide funding to support short-term community service projects during Wintersession, spring break, and the summer. One-time grants, of up to $1,000 per student, are awarded on a continuing basis throughout the academic year.
Examples of projects covered:
- You want to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and need assistance paying for the registration fees and travel expenses.
- You want to take part in an alternative spring break project and need to pay for your own room and board.
- You want to take part in an international community service project over Wintersession and need funding for travel expenses.
Amount:
Up to $1,000 per student, per academic year.
Eligibility:
All full-time students and Davis Scholars currently enrolled in classes on the Wellesley College campus are eligible. Students are only eligible to receive one grant per year. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Awards will be made until all funds for the year have been allocated.
Limitations and exclusions:
This money may only be used for programs that are directly related to community service. Money cannot be transferred to another project. Unused money must be returned to the fund. Grant funds may not be used for reimbursement of expenses incurred prior to your application.
