Remembrance of Highs Past

To better understand the physiological causes of addiction, Dr. Hans Breiter uses magnetic resonance imaging technology to scan the brains of subjects given cocaine. The results indicate areas deep in the core of the brain that show increased activity both during and after the drug induced euphoria.
