Welcome!

I am a Professor of Chemistry at Wellesley College and have been a member of the Wellesley College faculty since 1990. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 1985 and my Ph.D. degree in Chemical Physics from Stanford University in 1990. I was a visiting scholar in the Chemistry Department at Harvard University from 1991 to 1992.

I teach a broad spectrum of courses at all levels of the curriculum: both semesters of introductory chemistry and physical chemistry, and, occasionally, seminar courses in surface science and computational chemistry.

My research in surface chemistry and radiation chemistry has been supported by grants from the American Chemical Society, National Science Foundation, and the Research Corporation, in addition to the Henry Dreyfus Foundation.
