This is a collection of flash animations I have created and used in my courses. They cover a range of topics from all aspects of the chemistry curriculum. random walk - useful for visualizing motion that can be described as random - allows you to set the number of steps, see the progress, and monitor the distance moved from the starting point as well as the total distance traveled Gaussian and Lorentzian Distributions - use the sliders to compare the two distributions as you vary the standard deviation interference - change the phase relationship of two waves and observe the interference of the two waves improper rotation in methane - shows the S2 element and operation in methane diatomic molecular orbitals and bond order - drag electrons onto energy level diagrams for homonuclear diatomics - good practice for bond order determination
