26) Periphery

If you stand in either of our two upper spaces and gaze about, please notice that we have a newly configured system of pathways for all people using this corner of the campus. We have solved most of our drainage issues. We have installed fences to protect our children from unwanted public intrusions and will imbed these periphery fences in appropriate shrubbery. We have at the same time, visually incorporated the children’s spaces into the vocabulary of the campus. One of the most important factors in this goal is the installation of the traditional Wellesley College lamp lights leading from the parking lot to the uppermost end of the gardens.
