Academic Support:

Students in a challenging academic environment like Wellesley’s quickly learn that the best strategy for success is building a strong, flexible network of support.  The transition to college, and to Wellesley College specifically, gives all students a chance to explore new learning strategies, to undertake personal growth and development, and to work on many new academic challenges.  Students will find many partners at Wellesley to help them do this important work.  The members of each student’s network of advising resources are first stops in making the most of academic opportunities at Wellesley.  The counseling services at the Stone Center are often very helpful for students in negotiating the developmental challenges that affect academic performance.  Wellesley’s network of Cultural Advisors is another important resource for students of African or Asian descent, Latina students, and international students who may have very specific academic concerns.

Two support services that are especially important for all students to be aware of and to utilize appropriately are the Pforzheimer Learning and Teaching Center, and the Office of Disability Services.
