Fellowships

Thanks to the generosity of two alumnae, the Classical Studies Department is happy to announce two departmental prizes to be used to defray the cost of off-campus study and travel:

1. The Anna Marguerite McCann award provides funds for students who wish to travel or study abroad in the field of Classical Art and Archaeology, with a preference given to students pursuing projects in the field of Mediterranean maritime Archaeology.
2. The Edith Tufts award provides funds for research and/or travel in the field of Classical Studies both abroad and in the United States.

Both awards are open to Classical Studies students; interested students should submit the following to the chair of Classical Studies by February 28th:

1. brief (1-2 pages) description of project or program explaining how it fits into your overall plan of study
2. list of courses taken in the Classical Studies (or related) Department
3. budget
4. transcript (unofficial)
