What is Cable?

Cable logs involve networking issues beyond the operating system. This includes inactive drops, damaged ethernet cords, etc. Before you refer logs to Cable you do the following:

•Make sure the user has authenticated via CCA.

•Verify the user has no working network connection.

•Follow the instructions in the Binder Ultimate Network Troubleshooting documentation.

Referring Logs to Cable

Have the user follow the ethernet cord to the wall drop if it's not too difficult and not behind furniture! Ask for the drop number if they can see it and include this in the log. Refer and e-mail the log to Cable in FirstClass. This is different from Repair logs, which you do not email.
