Testing Checklist

• Try one completed unit of any new series (such as digitized video) before doing them all.
• Test in a different browser every day.
• Test on a different OS every other day.
• SFTP up to the web server and test at least once a week.

Web Browsers:

• Internet Explorer 7.x (Windows XP)
• Firefox 2.x (Windows XP, Mac OS X)
• Safari 3.x (Mac OS X)

Operating Systems:

• Mac OS X
• Windows XP

Things to look for:

• Screen size (make sure you design for 1024x768, the graphic safe area is 978 x 580 pixels)
• Font Size
• Font Appearance
• Margins/Alignment (gap at top of page; no scrolling!)
• Javascript/CSS
• Colors/Images
• Frames
• Forms and Buttons
• Tables
• Download Time acceptable?
• Links
• Plug-Ins, such as Quicktime, Adobe Reader, Flash, etc.
• Page Title
