The Apple Store for Education facilitates product sales to eligible purchasers who call via a toll-free number: 1-800-780-5009. Apple can verify your purchasing eligibility and quote any discounted prices over the phone.
Apple also has an online computer store in which faculty, staff and students can order online and customize their own purchases. You can go directly to the Apple Store for Education. Once there, enter Wellesley's zip code (02481) and click Find.
There you will also be able to find current Apple special offers for Education.
Computers ordered from Apple will be delivered directly to your home, office or to the College post office.
Wellesley College faculty, staff and students can order Lenovo ThinkPads and Think Centre desktops online.
Significant discounts are available for the Wellesley standard configuration of several computer models, though a discount is still available for all Lenovo computers through this web site.
Note: New ThinkPad models will be available by late summer 2008. In the meantime, Information Services staff recommend configuring existing ThinkPad computers to increase the processor to a new Penryn (for example, the cost is very slight to configure a ThinkPad T61 to the T8300 (2.4GHz 800MHz 3MBL2) processor).
