Microsoft Work at Home Program for Microsoft Office

As an extension of the College's site license for Microsoft Office for our College-owned computers, Wellesley College faculty and staff are eligible to purchase (1) copy of the installation CD for Microsoft Office under Microsoft's Work at Home program in order to do College work at home. This is available for essentially the cost of the CD to be copied and shipped to you. Since this license is tied to employment with the College, this copy of Office must be un-installed from your computer when your employment at the College terminates.

To purchase Microsoft Office, or to find out which versions of Office are currently available and their exact cost, please stop by the Faculty / Staff Helpdesk in Clapp Library with your Wellesley College ID. In order to complete your purchase, you will need to have the Helpdesk staff initial your order form certifying that you are a current employee. You will then need to FAX that order form to a third-party vendor. Order forms are available at the Helpdesk.

Microsoft Products for Educational Discount

Wellesley College is also able to offer faculty and staff members the opportunity to purchase Microsoft products for personal use at significant educational discounts through a the provision in the Microsoft Student Select Program. Purchasing software from this program is different than the work at home program. Once purchased, you own the software and would not be required to remove it if you leave the college. The cost for Microsoft Office is more expensive than the Microsoft Work at Home program, but allows you to own the software perpetually.
