How do I log in?

For Microsoft Windows computers

If this is the first time you've attempted to access the Wellesley College network with your computer, your web browser will be redirected to a website that will ask you to log in with your Wellesley College Domain Account. Your Domain Account is the username and password you use to access faculty/staff office Windows computers, file servers such as NTM, and Computing Lab computers across campus. See the Frequently Asked Questions below if you do not remember your Domain Password. Once you have authenticated, you will be asked to install the Clean Access Agent. The Clean Access Agent will then install on your computer and run whenever your computer is on. When needed it will prompt you for your Domain Account to authenticate and verify that your computer meets the current system requirements to gain network access.

If you've accessed the Wellesley College network before, the Agent should be running in your system tray CCA Agent (you may need to show hidden icons to see all system tray icons).

If you see the icon in your system tray, right-click on the icon and choose Login. If Login is grayed out and you cannot select it, your computer does not have a working network connection. Reasons for this could be a disconnected ethernet cable or a hardware issue. Faculty and Staff should call the HelpDesk at x3333 and students should fill out a Student Computing Help Form for further assistance.

If you do not see the icon in your system tray, the Clean Access Agent may not be running or was never installed. If it is not running, please start the Agent by going to Start > All Programs > Cisco Systems > Cisco Clean Access > Clean Access Agent. Once the Agent has re-started, you will be prompted to log in. You can then close this page. If you cannot locate it on the Start Menu, please open a web browser to get redirected to the Clean Access website, log in with your Wellesley College Domain Account on the left, then follow the instructions on how to download and install the Clean Access Agent.

For Macintosh computers

If you've accessed the Wellesley College network before, the Agent should be running. You can check your network status in the menu bar at the top right of your screen.
CCAClientGreenFullBar

    • CCAClientgreen - Green: You are successfully logged in to Wellesley's network.
    • CCAClientBrown - Brown: You are connected to the network, but you have not logged in using Clean Access. Click on the icon and choose Login.
    • CCAClientGrey - Grey: You are not connected to the network. You should check your network cable or make sure your wireless is turned on. Faculty and Staff should call the HelpDesk at x3333 and students should fill out a Student Computing Help Form for further assistance.

For non-Windows or Macintosh computers and other network devices

If you are using a computer or network device that is running anything other than Microsoft Windows (such as Linux, or a PDA), please open a web browser to get redirected to the Clean Access authentication page and log in with your Wellesley College Domain Account on the left. You will need to do this each time your computer loses network access because there is no client to prompt you to login when needed.

If you cannot open a browser on your network device, such as on a game console or Wireless Access Point, please email compreg@wellesley.edu for help.
