Macintosh and Windows

Wellesley Home > Computing at Wellesley

Filemaker Pro version 8 is compatible with Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and Macintosh OS X (10.3.9, 10.4)

Conversion from previous versions

Filemaker Pro databases that are currently in version 4.1 format can be converted to version 8. Because there are fundamental changes in the structure of the program, databases that were created in version 8 or that have been converted to version 8 can not be opened in or converted to version 4. If you are planning to convert an old Filemaker database to version 8, be sure that you first back it up to protect your data.
