The Computing Help Desk provides computing support for faculty, staff and students.

Calling or Visiting the Help Desk

Your computing question, problem or request is handled immediately by the student Information Services Consultants (ISCs) and the IS staff person on duty. The Help Desk supports College owned computers and software, and provides best-effort assistance for personally owned computers connecting to the College network, printing to network printers, using FirstClass, and updating Virus protection.

If your computing problem requires further troubleshooting or consideration, it will be referred. Faculty and staff computing issues are referred to an IS staff member who specializes in the given application or topic. Student computing issues are referred to an ISC. If your computing issue is referred you will be contacted within a business day.

When you experience problems with your computer, printer or an application, check the documentation for Windows or Macintosh computers. These pages were created specifically to keep the Wellesley community informed about the software and hardware supported by IS. Additional Resources for Students
Need help getting connected on your laptop? Wireless giving you trouble? Bring your laptop to the Computing First Aid station to consult an Information Services Consultant (ISC) in person. ISCs can also help you with virus issues, general operating system problems, FirstClass, Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, using the Internet, and other computing topics. Please remember to bring any necessary items that might help the ISC solve your problem, such as system software CDs, CD and disk drives, power packs, etc.
