OS X v. 10.2 FAQ - frequently asked questions about OS X v. 10.2
Faculty and staff can call the Faculty/Staff Computing Helpdesk at x3333 to report problems or questions with their cloned computers or OS X v. 10.2.
Faculty, staff and students can also post to the Computing Questions conference in FirstClass.
Students who have questions about connecting their personal computers running OS X v. 10.2 to the Wellesley network, or about installing Wellesley software on their computers can follow the Getting Connected instructions available on the ResNet web site.
Students who are having problems with their OS X v. 10.2 computers, can contact their RCC by filling out a Student Computing Help Form
Faculty, staff and students can post general help questions to the Computing Questions conference in FirstClass.
For more information on using OS X v. 10.2
Click once on the desktop (or select the Finder icon from the dock) so that it says Finder in the top left menu of the Apple Menu Bar. From the Help menu choose Mac Help and the Help Center will open.Click on links in the Welcome or What's new? sections, or type a topic in the Ask a Question field at the top of the window and hit RETURN.
Note: If your search comes up empty, try making it less specific. For example: instead of searching for filesharing, try searching for share.
For help using applications
Launch the application. From the Help menu choose one of the help options (Contents, Index, Using this Application, etc.)

Please be aware documentation available at other schools' websites is customized to include their settings. These settings may not work the same at Wellesley College.
