1. Save a copy of your document to the desktop. DO NOT work on a document from a disk or on the network.
2. Set the page size for your document.
3. Back in the PowerPoint Page Setup window:a) Open your document in Microsoft PowerPoint.
b) From the File menu, choose Page Setup. A window titled Page Setup will open.

c) In the Page Setup window, click the Options button. A second window titled Page Setup will open.
d) In the second Page Setup window:
- The Settings field should read Page Attributes.
- Set the Format for: field to Stylus Pro 9600
- Click the pull-down menu next to the Paper Size: field
- Select a PRESET paper size close to the size of your document.
** The maximum poster size you can print to from Microsoft PowerPoint is 33" x 46.5". This corresponds to the Super AO preset paper size. **
- PowerPoint will not print from custom paper sizes. Note, the crossed out selections in the adjacent picture are NOT acceptable paper sizes.
- The dimension is given as width first, then height.
If you are uncertain about the dimensions of a specified page, select the size. The dimensions will appear below the menu item
Once you have selected the correct paper size, click OK
- Set the Slides sized for: field to Custom.
- The width and height fields should automatically set to the proper dimensions for the page size you selected.
- Click OK.
4. Check the appearance of your document in Power Point to make sure you are comfortable with it. If so, save a second copy of your document to the desktop with a new name to avoid copying over the original file.
NOTE : orientation settings in PowerPoint do not stick after you select them. To check if the orientation of the slide is correct:
5. In PowerPoint, go to the File menu and select Print. A window titled Print will open.
In the Print window:
- Make sure the printer is set to Stylus Pro 9600
- Click on the Copies & Pages pull-down menu and select Print Settings.
- In the Print Settings panel, from the pull-down menu to the right of Media Type, select the type of the paper currently in the printer.
- In the Print Settings panel, make sure the Mode is set to Automatic and the slider is set to Quality.
- If the orientation settings did not stick in PowerPoint after you selected them, click Save as PDF instead of Print, and then follow the instructions to open and print your document from Adobe Photoshop.
- If you are comfortable with the appearance of your document in PowerPoint, click Print.
