Computing First Aid

Student Computer Drop-In Support

Need help getting connected on your laptop? Wireless giving you trouble? Bring your laptop to the Computing First Aid station to consult a Residential Computing Consultant in person. The consultant can also help you with virus issues, general operating system problems, and more. Please remember to bring any necessary items that might help the consultant solve your problem, such as system software CDs, CD and disk drives, power packs, etc.

Come to the Computing First Aid station for help with your operating system, FirstClass, Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, using the Internet, and other general computing topics in person.

Regular Hours:
  • 7:00pm - 9:00pm Sunday through Thursday when classes are in session.
Locations:
  • Clapp Library, first floor Lounge, near the new course reserves area.
  • Science Center Mini-Focus, the last row of computers in the Computing Lab.

Computing First Aid Chat

Can't make it to the Mini-Focus to visit us in person? Chat online with a Computing First Aid consultant. Just double-click on the Computing First Aid Chat icon inside the Computing Questions conference on your FirstClass desktop, read the message titled Read me before entering the chat and chat away!

Hours:

  • 7:00pm - 9:00pm Sunday through Thursday, starting Sunday, September 2nd, including Memorial Day.

If you cannot attend the scheduled hours of Computing First Aid, you may fill out a ResNet Computing Help Form and a RCC will be in touch within one business day to help you with your question or problem.
