E-Reserve

In conjunction with the Clapp Library e-reserve staff, the Copy Center is handling the production side for e-reserve submissions.

We will copy materials from books, magazines or periodicals, or use your provided paper copy if it is clean enough (devoid of black edges or compromised text). The pages for scanning must be clean because added lines, or dark spaces make the final file too large, and also waste toner/ink when students print out the e-reserves.

We will scan the paper copy we create into a pdf file, edit it and attach the file to a bibliographical form provided by the library. We then send the file to the library course reserve drop folder within four hours of receiving your materials.

Please note: The library e- reserve staff has defined the format for naming the PDF to be attached to their form, and has defined the form's format. If you want a different format for naming your files or presenting the information on the bibliographic form, please contact the e-reserve staff about the possibility of customizing such data. The Copy Center does not control the formatting of e-reserves.

The Copy Center does not have access your course conference. The library's staff uploads the pdf to your course conference. For more detailed e-reserve information on submission guidelines, go to the Knapp Media & Technology Center's e-reserve webpage.

Pricing for E-reserves:

The Copy Center provides this service for $.15/sheet (plus $1.00) from a book or journal in black and white. For color images, this service is $.30/sheet (plus $1.00)
