Online Request Service

The Copy Center can process jobs online using firstclass. To do so, go to Wellesley Conferences --> Departments --> Administrative Departments --> Copy Center. There are two documents, one entitled Copy Request and the other Confidential Copy Request. If you double click on the desired one a form will appear which can be filled out like a paper request. Once filled out (or before, so you don't forget) please attach the file you wish to be printed.

How to make sure you get what you want:

Please make sure your document is a pdf. We ask for a pdf because other documents' formatting can change drastically from one computer to another. For instance, if our computer does not have a font that you used, it will change it (and we will be unaware of the change). Similarly, the spacing and margins can change, especially if our operating system is different from yours.

To change a word file (or if it's a picture, like a jpeg, or gif file) to a pdf you will need Adobe Acrobat Pro (not Acrobat Reader). You can aquire an install disc for Adobe Acrobat from the Knapp Center, or if you are not using a campus computer, you can download a trial version from the Adobe website. After you have the program you can convert the file by pressing the "convert file" button in the tool bar.

What are the benefits of using an online request?

The online request system allows you to send jobs from any computer with firstclass from anywhere: your office, your home, the campus center, etc. In conjunction with the courier service, online requests add to the ease of using our many services for those time constrained members of our community.

Another benefit of online submission is increased image quality. This is especially useful for posters and table tents, where the images can be essential.
