General Information (Hours/Location) |
Advanced Practicum Training Program: This
is an academic year training program (September-May), which requires
a minimum of 24 hours/week over 3-4 days with Wednesday & Thursday being a required day. The practicum hours maybe
fulfilled only during the hours the Counseling Service is open, which
is Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. The
central work is to provide counseling services to Wellesley College
students. Practice experience includes individual counseling, group
work, workshops and preventive programming, and consultation with
members of the college community. Application Process: Application materials must include:
Psychology applications are accepted from November through January 6th, although applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible. After a review of the written materials, interviews will be scheduled in January & February. Final decisions will be made by the end of February. For Social Work applicants: Social Work applications are submitted through the applicant's graduate school Field Education office from January through February 10th. After a review of the written materials, interviews will be scheduled in February. Final decisions will be made at the end of February.
