SOCIAL SCIENCES

 AT WELLESLEY COLLEGE

APPLICATION INFORMATION

Open only to Wellesley College Students

Wellesley College will offer a social sciences summer research program in the summer of 2009.

 

PROGRAM FEATURES:

• Student research supervised by Wellesley College faculty members

• Weekly seminars for participants to present their work

• Workshops on use of technology, data resources, public speaking

• Poster presentation at end of program

 

PROGRAM DATES: June 8 through August 14, 2009

 

STIPEND: $3200 plus a $1400 allotment for housing. Housing will be available on

Wellesley College Campus. Arrangements can be made by contacting the Housing

Office (phone: 781-283-2809.)

 

ELIGIBILITY: Rising sophomores, juniors and seniors (Classes of 2010, 2011 and 2012.)  Preference may be given to rising juniors and seniors.

Students participating in the summer research program may not concurrently elect courses in any summer school.

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 25, 2009

 

NOTIFICATION DATE: March 20, 2009

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Completed application form, resume, personal statement, and Wellesley College transcript..
