No Smoking Policy

Several years ago a policy that prohibited smoking in all academic and administrative buildings on campus was implemented. In August of 1999, all residence halls were also designated as smoke-free buildings.

 Outdoor smoking spaces with benches and trash/ash receptacles have been provided outside the residence halls ( at least one per complex).

Though enforcement of this policy does not fall within the Honor Code, violations of the policy may include fines and /or referral to the appropriate judicial body for action.
